Cookies and Storage

Effective date: 2026-05-17. This page explains our approach to cookies, browser storage, and third-party technical services.

1. We Use No Cookies

This website sets no cookies of any kind. Not session cookies, not persistent cookies, not first-party cookies, not third-party cookies placed by our own code.

We have verified this through a complete audit of all JavaScript files and inline scripts on the site. There is not a single call to document.cookie anywhere in our codebase.

This is a deliberate product decision, not an oversight. We believe a law firm's website should not track visitors.

2. No Analytics. No Tracking. No Advertising.

We do not use any analytics or tracking tools. Specifically, this site does not include:

We do not build profiles of visitors. We do not share visitor behaviour data with any advertising platform. We do not sell or rent any data about visitors.

3. No Browser Storage

We also do not use localStorage or sessionStorage. No information about your session is written to your browser's storage by our code.

The one partial exception: the AI chat assistant stores the conversation in a plain JavaScript variable in browser memory (not in any persistent storage). This variable exists only for the duration of your current page session and disappears the moment you navigate away or close the tab. Nothing is written to disk.

4. Third-Party CDN Technical Disclosure

Since 2026-05-17, this site no longer transmits any data to Google for typography. All fonts are served from our own server (Hostinger UAB, Germany, intra-EEA). The only remaining external resource loaded on every page is:

Tailwind CSS CDN (Tailwind Labs Inc., USA)

The Tailwind CSS framework is loaded from cdn.tailwindcss.com. When your browser requests this file, it sends your IP address and User-Agent string to Tailwind Labs' servers in the USA.

The DPA and EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification status of Tailwind Labs is to be confirmed. Until confirmed, the transfer relies on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in rendering the website) as the processing basis, and on Art. 49(1)(f) GDPR (transfer necessary for the purposes of compelling legitimate interests) as the transfer mechanism, assessed as proportionate given the technical nature of the data (IP address only) and the absence of any use for profiling.

The Tailwind CDN does not set cookies or store information on your device.

Fonts are already self-hosted. Since 2026-05-17, this site no longer transmits any data to Google for typography. Fonts (Playfair Display and Inter) are served from the operator's own server infrastructure in Germany (Hostinger UAB, EEA). No font-related data goes to Google.

5. Why There Is No Cookie Banner

Cookie consent banners are required by Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (implemented in Romania by Law no. 506/2004) when a website stores or accesses information on a visitor's terminal device.

This website does not store or access any information on your device. The CDN request described above is an ordinary outbound HTTP connection made by your browser; it does not write anything to your device. Accordingly, Art. 5(3) is not triggered, and we are not required to show a consent banner.

Our legal basis for the Tailwind CDN transmission is legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, with a balancing assessment that finds the privacy impact proportionate given: (a) the data is limited to IP address and User-Agent, (b) it is used solely for CSS delivery and not for profiling, and (c) there is no Google or other tracking involved in any page load.

6. What This Means for You

When you visit this website:

If you use the contact form, your name, email, message, and IP address are transmitted to our server and then to our email inbox. That processing is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Future Analytics

If we ever add analytics to this website, we will update this page to name the tool, describe what it collects, and explain the legal basis. Where the tool requires consent (for example, because it sets cookies or reads device identifiers), we will add a proper Reject / Accept banner before enabling it. We will not activate analytics until that disclosure and, where required, that consent mechanism is in place.

8. Questions

If you have questions about cookies, storage, or the CDN disclosures above, please contact us at ciprian@frandes.law. Our full Privacy Policy covers all data processing on this site.
